In Good Time
My Debut Novel
Welcome and welcome back everyone.
What’s New
Y’all have stuck with me, read my stories, endured a hiatus or two, and I couldn’t thank you more. And more than just saying it, I wanted to show it by giving you the first peak at the cover for my upcoming novel, Decorum.
Just kidding, haha! Here it is!
Decorum is available for pre-order soon and I couldn’t be more excited! Here is a little bit about the book -
In a family built on tradition, Solei thought her formidable mother set the example. Then a scandalous letter surfaces and secrets begin to unravel, exposing fractures in their Peruvian household. What starts as a simple, yet damning discovery spirals into a mystery that forces Solei to question how far those closest to her will go to keep appearances intact.
When a body is found, suspicion mounts and the lines between love and betrayal blur, Solei must decide how much she’s willing to risk to protect the people she loves - before the truth consumes them all.
Decorum is a haunting debut about the weight of family legacies, the silence of generations, and the dangerous consequences of secrets left to fester.
_____________
Now of course there will be a proper book launch, signings, etc, but it all starts with the pre-order. That is where your support makes the biggest impact. I’ll send more details soon so be sure to stay connected with me here and on my other social media accounts.
In Other (Good) News
We’ve wrapped up my story, “Unrequited.” (That’s right - there’s other good reads right here on Substack for you all.) Now while the end of “Unrequited” is bittersweet, it also means we can chat about it without worrying about spoilers. If you didn’t know, subscribers have access to book chats - kind of like an informal book club - where we can dish about your favorite and least favorite characters, you can ask the author questions, and more. (And…if you have read “Unrequited,” you’ll be happy to know that a certain character might get a prequel.)
Mindful Moment
This month’s newsletter will be short and sweet as I prepare for pre-order and all the fun of a book release, but I wanted to remind you all that life is worth celebrating - even the small wins. Some goals are bigger than others, but they all take work. So, even if no one else sees you, or your little wins along the way, be sure to celebrate yourself. Treat yourself….to progress presents, to something major when you’ve reached the goal, and to starting.
As always, if you’re looking for a sign -
Ever writing,
Nicole
